MC Hammer dissed Jay-Z for his references in a Kanye West track, but Jigga doesn't care.
On Kanye West's giveaway track 'So Appalled', Jay-Z dropped the couplet 'Hammer went broke so you know I'm more focused /I lost 30 mil' so I spent another 30/ 'Cause unlike Hammer 30 million can't hurt me'.
This is a reference to the '90s rap star's well-documented financial difficulties.
But MC Hammer, now known as King Hammer, seemed to take the mention far more personally.
He released a clip for new track 'Better Run Run', which opens with Hammer in a boardroom, then features a Jay-Z lookalike running from the devil.
It doesn't end there. The whole track accuses Jay-Z of being in league with Satan, with Hammer telling Jay-Z to step up, calling him an 'imposter', and finally baptising the actor.
Big words from a bankrupt has-been, picking a fight with the godfather of modern hip-hop.
Thankfully, Jay-Z laughed off the publicity stunt during an interview with BBC radio.
He told DJ Semtex, ' didn't know that [Hammer's financial status] wasn't on the table for discussion! I didn't know I was the first person ever to say that ' I'm not, am I?'
He went on to reveal that his new book Decoded actually has some 'great things' to say about MC Hammer, 'He's gonna be embarrassed, I said some really great things about him and people's perception of him.'
