Jay-Z replaces R Kelly with friends

Jay-Z has recruited several friends to replace R Kelly who was fired from their joint Best Of Both Worlds US tour at the weekend.

Guest star P Diddy joined Jay-Z at his New York show along with Mary J Blige. Both are expected to join him on shows through to November 12.

Also joining Jay-Z at the concert were Snoop Dogg, Pharell Williams, Slick Rick, Professor Griff, Foxy Brown, Kanye West, Q-Tip and Busta Rhymes.

The line-up of friends is expected to remain in flux through to the end of the tour.

The tour renamed the Jay-Z & Friends tour is due to run through to November 28.

Kelly is suing Jay-Z for £50 million for breach of contract alleging Jay-Z's "spite and jealousy" forced him off the tour.

The pair were in the middle of a 40-city tour plagued by cancelled shows and reports the two refused to speak to each other. Ironically, their album together, Unfinished Business, is expected to top the US chart.
