Following deals with Madonna, The Stones and U2, Live Nation has now signed up Jay-Z for a staggering $150 million.
Although $150 million sounds a vast sum for Live Nation to pay for Jay-Z, it does cover both recordings, concert tickets and merchandise sales as well as 'entrepreneurial concepts'.
The New York Times claims Jay Z's deal "rivals the biggest music contracts ever awarded".
The paper suggests the agreement encompasses pretty much everything Jay-Z will do for the next 10 years. Not bad for a man who announced his retirement five years ago.
