For the fans who couldn't make it out to the shiny new Barclays Center to catch one of the eight Jay-Z shows, Hova's got your back. He will be live-streaming the final Brooklyn gig on Saturday.
It will all go down on his Life and Times YouTube channel at 9:30 p.m. ET. Jay made the announcement in a video message teasing a bit of what it might look when fans tune in. In it, a swaggered-out Jay is onstage taking in the cheers of the audience, with his track "Brooklyn We Go Hard" (featuring Santigold on the hook) as a fitting soundtrack for the teaser.
Jay kicked off the christenings on September 29 after a week of events to celebrate the arena opening. Once he finishes up his stint there, the Barclays Center will not only serve as a concert venue with the likes of Justin Bieber and Rihanna, but also as the new home for the Brooklyn Nets, the NBA basketball team which he helped relocate from new Jersey to BK as a minority owner.
See why Jay-Z thinks his Barclays shows have been some of the most 'amazing' yet.
When MTV News caught up with the Brooklyn native ahead of the string of shows, he was excited to use the gigs as a platform to profess his hometown love. "I really hope it's just a celebration," he shared about the eight-show run at the arena. "Pretty much all the concerts are loud and sing-a-longs, but I hope that this is a special thing. It's pretty much a celebration of having a team in Brooklyn — you know, again, everybody knows we hadn't had a team since the Dodgers, so it's really a happy time in Brooklyn."
