Jay-Z is in talks to secure Beyoncé Knowles a $150 million touring deal, it has been reported.
The rapper is believed to have approached Live Nation about the prospect of his superstar wife hitting the road. He believes the lucrative shows will be a sell out all over the world.
"Just weeks after the birth of Blue Ivy, Jay met with Live Nation to discuss a tour for Beyoncé," a source told New York Post. "He wanted a deal worth about $150million, but they countered with a lower offer."
Beyoncé currently has a joint management deal with Jay's label Roc Nation and Live Nation.
Earlier this year, the 30-year-old singer hinted that she would be interested in embarking on a world tour.
Beyoncé is in high demand despite taking a break from her career following the birth of her first child, daughter Blue Ivy, in January.
Simon Cowell is believed to be eager for her to join the judging panel on the US version of The X Factor. The music mogul was reportedly so desperate to sign her up he offered her a deal worth $500 million.
However, the star's father Mathew Knowles recently dismissed rumours she may join the TV talent show.
"It would never happen as Beyoncé would never do that," he explained earlier this month. "There are a few things that she would never do and that is one. It's not for her."
Reps for Jay-Z and Beyoncé have not commented on the tour reports.
