Jessie J has had to cancel her forthcoming festival performances due to her broken foot.
The 'Nobody's Perfect' singer has been forced to pull out events including T In The Park in Scotland, Oxegen in Ireland, Summer Sonic in Japan and T4 On The Beach, Orange Rock Corps, iTunes Festival and Lovebox in England after breaking her left foot in rehearsals earlier this month.
She tweeted: ' am in tears. I never thought it would come to this. Next year I will be at all the festivals but for now I have to follow doctors orders and just look after me.
' have to remain positive and I promise I will make it up later in the year.'
The star underwent emergency surgery last night (29.06.11) and has been put under strict instructions by doctors not to perform until she is better.
Before she underwent surgery, Jessie, 23, sent a series of tweets joking about the procedure to keep her spirits up.
She wrote: 'Keep making nervous jokes with the doctor and he keeps looking at me blankly. Which is making me laugh even more. #AWKWARD (sic)
'ts getting serious. #justookmynosestudout (sic)'
After she woke up in hospital earlier today (30.06.11), she thanked fans for their support, writing: 'Still very dizzy and being sick. But im ok I got through it.
Thanks for all your msg's. Means alot x (sic)'
At first Jessie was told she had only ripped a ligament in her foot, and soldiered on, performing at Glastonbury festival last Saturday (25.06.11) sitting on a gold throne with a cast on her leg.
When the pain failed to subside, however, she returned to hospital for more scans and found she had broken the foot.
It is not known if Jessie will also have to cancel any of her solo tour dates at this time.
