Jessie J declares love for beau

Jessie J says that women "go through so many different types of love growing up".

The 26-year-old singer started dating Luke James earlier this year. And while Jessie said in a previous interview she's not sure if R&B songwriter Luke is 'The One', she has now said the decision to make their relationship public was her own declaration of love for him.

"I think all of us women can agree, you go through so many different types of love growing up," Jessie said on an upcoming episode of show The Real. "I feel like at this time in my life, I'm nearly 27, I'm a grown woman and I'm famous.

"I have to deal with that. So I felt like going public, it was like, I love him so why hide it or try and make it a secret."

Jessie previously said in an interview with Britain's Glamour magazine that she wasn't quite ready to say the L word.

"Am I in love right now? I'm working on being in love," she said.

"That's the truth. I don't want to sound mean. But I'm not in love... yet. I'm learning how to fall in love."

That's not to say she doesn't see this relationship being a long-term one now.

In fact, Jessie has since considered Luke could be "the one".

"Why not?" she said. "I'm at a point in my life where anyone I'm allowing to give that part of myself to, I want to give the chance for it to be forever. And he's really amazing."
