Jessie J has denied claims she and Ariana Grande are re-recording The Boy Is Mine.
The hit track was originally released by Brandy Norwood and Monica in 1998, quickly topping international charts and becoming the best-selling song of the year in America.
Rumours surfaced recently claiming Jessie and Ariana are planning to record their own rendition of the duet, but the British songstress says this potential project is completely stalled right now.
"No, it's not true. Neither of us have agreed," Jessie told UK newspaper The Mirror at the American Music Awards. "Sadly people are believing it. I spoke to Brandy and I was like, 'No, it's not happening'. Monica and Brandy are the best."
The 26-year-old Do It Like A Dude singer reached a milestone with her new boyfriend Luke James on Sunday, as the couple made their red carpet debut at the AMAs.
Their relationship may be new, but the freshness of their romance hasn't stopped Jessie thinking about her future - and kids are definitely on the agenda.
"I've always been broody. I don't know why that's made such a big deal of. I want to be my parents in 34 years' time. They've been married for 36 years. I want to live to 100 and see my kids' kids grow up," Jessie told ES Magazine recently.
"I would be tough love. One hundred per cent. I'm all about words and actions. I want to be the best mum. I'd cook all my own stuff at home."
