The British singer, who was forced to cancel a series of summer dates after slipping off stage and breaking her foot earlier this year, said that at one point, it all got to be too much for her.
'I am so glad I kept at it as the story behind it is helping and inspiring a lot of people,' the Who You Are singer told The Sun.
'I got to a point where I questioned why I was in the music industry. I wasn't happy. I got to a point where I couldn't do it anymore and had to have a break.'
Of course, she wasn't referring to her foot.
