Jessie J has revealed that she plans to retire 'Do It Like A Dude' when she reaches forty.
The London singer said she might not be able to get away with performing the number one hit when she near middle-age.
''I’m aware of what I’m singing about all the time, which is why I was so nervous about Do It Like A Dude, that people were going to judge me for it, because it has elements of the dollar about it," Jessie J told the Daily Star.
She added: “Don’t get me wrong, I love bashment music like Pass Out, but eventually I thought: ‘If I can’t do a song like this now, when can I?’ I should have fun too. Can you imagine doing a song like that when I’m 40? Oh God. I knew it would shake up some controversy.”
As previously reported on Gigwise, Jessie J said she is delighted to be one of a number of artists who are flying the flag for UK music abroad.
Jessie J was joined by Goulding and Tempah, as well as a host of other acts – including Lady Gaga, My Chemical Romance and Bruno Mars – at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Carlisle on May (14)
