Joe Jackson has reportedly been hospitalised following a stroke.
The head of the Jackson family, who was behind his children's meteoric rise to fame in the 60s, suffered the stroke while enjoying celebrations for his 87th birthday, reports TMZ.
The outlet claim Joe was admitted to Albert Einstein Hospital in São Paulo after waking up yesterday feeling dizzy with no vision.
He was in the Brazilian city to celebrate his birthday, which fell on Sunday.
The stroke is expected to leave Joe, who suffers with diabetes, with temporary blindness at the very least.
Family sources reveal doctors are currently running tests and debating whether to send the talent manager back to America for further medical treatment.
Hours earlier, Joe's daughter Janet shared a touching message with her social media followers.
"Wishing my Father, @Joe5Jackson a Happy Birthday.
"I want to tell the world, I love and honour you.
"The image of us, is my tribute to you. xo. JANET (sic)," she wrote next to a link to her song No Sleep, featuring J. Cole.
La Toya Jackson also posted a sweet birthday message to her father.
"Wishing you an Exciting Happy 87th Birthday! @Joe5Jackson enjoy #Brazil! Love U always! UR messages R full cant call (sic)," she uploaded next to a photo of the pair.
Neither Janet nor La Toya has spoken about the suspected stroke, with their brothers Jermaine and Tito also staying quiet online.
Us Weekly reports Joe has previously suffered three strokes, including a mild one in November 2012. For the latter he received care at a Las Vegas hospital after complaining of having pains in his head and difficulty standing.
