John Mayer paid tribute to Katy Perry at a concert over the weekend, saying she is "incredible".
The singer-songwriter has had an on-off romance with the pop star since last year. Despite splitting for a second time in March, the pair have reunited in recent weeks and appear closer than ever.
John decided to make his feelings for Katy known on stage in Milwaukee on Saturday night, when he said the brunette was "more incredible that I ever thought".
He also revealed how kind Katy had been while he was recovering from throat surgery when they first began dating.
"She was so patient," he gushed, "to continue to get know me and love me" despite his inability to speak when their romance initially blossomed.
Katy is believed to have been in the audience on Saturday to watch John kick off his Born and Raised tour.
He then dedicated his song called A Face to Call Home to the 28-year-old, saying "To Katy, who is my face to call home".
The stars celebrated the Fourth of July holiday with a romantic dinner on Friday and a photo of them hugging was posted on Twitter.
Despite their split earlier this year, Katy fuelled rumours she still had feelings for John in a candid magazine interview.
"I was madly in love with him. I still am madly in love with him. All I can say about that relationship is that he's got a beautiful mind," she said. "Beautiful mind, tortured soul. I do have to figure out why I am attracted to these broken birds."
