JOHN MAYER has to make a dash to hospital this weekend after his good friend fell ill.
The singer was snapped carrying pal Rob Dyrdek out of a nightclub in Los Angeles and into a waiting car which rushed him to an emergency room
Mayer informed people of his dramatic Saturday night on his Twitter page and said he had taken Dyrdek to the city's Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to have his stomach pumped.
Mayer wrote: "In triage at Cedars with Rob Dyrdek. When the contents of his stomach hit that silicon bag and we all saw it, we just broke into applause."
