International music sensations, Jonas Brothers, will today give a unique musical masterclass to a group of young people as part of the Department for Children, Schools and Families' campaign, Tune In – Year of Music.
Partnering with Disney Channel, the home of their hit series JONAS, Kevin, Joe and Nick will host the one off interactive music session at Ryton Comprehensive School in Gateshead.
The exclusive session kick starts 'Back to School', a series of musical master classes hosted by music icons from across the globe, aiming to get children and young people inspired about the ways in which music can enrich their lives.
Compèred by Camp Rock UK cover artist Brad Kavanagh, Jonas Brothers will give an exciting and interactive lesson with 200 pupils from the school. During this special session, Jonas Brothers will be showing the class their top tips – from learning to play basic guitar melodies, to putting together a song, to techniques for practising and improving; the session will be like nothing the class will have experienced before. Following the lesson, Jonas Brothers will take part in a question-and-answer session with the young people.
Kevin Jonas said, "Music has been such an integral part of our lives and our journey together. We are really excited to be sharing our passion for the subject and hope to inspire kids to pick up an instrument if they have never done so before or to practice more if they already know how to play"
