Jordin Sparks is doing "great" after splitting from Jason Derulo, but won't be turning to Tinder.
The 24-year-old star began dating the Talk Dirty singer in 2012 and news their relationship had come to an end was revealed last month. Since then Jason has spoken out about the breakup, claiming there was a lot of "tension" and he felt "pressure" to tie the knot during their time together. He also stated Jordin got frustrated a lot, which he believes triggered the split.
Jordin hasn't let his candid comments get to her and is remaining in good spirits. She isn't going to dip her toe into the world of dating apps though.
"Yeah I'm great! What? Noooo. No, no, no. [I'm] not [going to use] Tinder. No to any of those things, those are weird," she laughed to TMZ.
"No, why is there a rule?" she smiled when asked if there's a time limit for when people can start hitting on her again.
Jordin was happy to talk to reporters during her outing yesterday, but didn't see the point of addressing her former beau's comments, which he made during an interview on Ryan Seacrest's radio show on Monday. However, she was keen to share her best breakup meal.
"I really don't have a comment on anything that's been said 'cause everything is just that: it's just words," she shrugged it off.
"My dad bought me [food from] Cubby's [BBQ restaurant] from Hackensack [New Jersey]. You should go. If you've not been, you should go. It's delicious. Ribs and everything."
Keeping her mood uplifted, the songstress also wished her ex-boyfriend the best for the future. Jason is set to begin his tour tomorrow in Dayton, Ohio, while Jordin has been occupied with promoting her upcoming movie Left Behind. She hopes they will make time to remain friends.
"Um, I hope so yeah. Definitely, I think so," she added. "He's super busy; I know he's got a tour coming up. I've got movies and stuff. I just wish him nothing but the best; I just want him to be successful."
