The British singer is fostering a rescue dog named Oprah while she records a new album in New York City.
Stone, who has four dogs of her own, is without her pets while she lives and works in the city.
So she has taken in the six-year-old bull mastiff-pit bull mix from the city's Animal Haven shelter.
'I am fostering her while I'm here in New York making a record,' the singer said in a YouTube video.
'I thought it would be nice to foster Oprah because she's so, so sweet.
'And I cannot take her home because I live so far away, and I have four dogs of my own.'
Animal Haven is still looking for a permanent home for Oprah.
'She was looking for a low-key dog that needed out of the shelter but could handle being in the recording studio with her during the day,' said the shelter's intake and care specialist Jennifer Bristol.
