PBS claims an upcoming adult version of 'Sesame Street' has nothing to do with the recent Katy Perry episode that was pulled from the air.
Recently the children's version of the show recorded an episode which included a Katy Perry duet with Elmo, but decided not to air it due to Perry's low-cut dress. It was originally due to be broadcast on new year's eve.
The New York Post reported that it was not a marketing stunt for the new version of the show.
The station will be putting together a version of the show called 'Next Avenue', which hopes to teach baby boomers how to deal with middle age.
At 28 years old, I feel left out in the world of Sesame Street. Too old for the kids show, too young for the adult's show. When will children's television programs think of the late 20s market?!
