Katy Perry is donating proceeds from merchandise sold on her world tour to help the victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
The singer, who has already been vocal in offering support for the devastated country, outlined her plans on Twitter.
Starting at her gig in Germany tonight (March 15), proceeds from sales of Katy Perry's light-up wands will be donated to the Red Cross.
Perry said: "And when I play...'Firework', let's ignite the light for them tonight. I will be doing this for future shows so be ready!!!"
The relief efforts are under way in Japan following the 9.0-magnitude quake and tsunami that hit the country's North East coast last week.
