Katy Perry Gets Polished

Pop tart Katy Perry and Justin Bieber have a lot more in common than having kidnapped pop culture's attention with their sugary, confectionery voices. Perry is following in Bieb's Nike footsteps by teaming up with nail care giant OPI, for which she will develop and launch her own nail polish line. Bieber announced his partnership with the nail lacquer company a few weeks ago and not Perry is following suit.

The Katy Perry for OPI collection will be available in January 2011 and so you can ring in the new year in well-manicured style. The KP set will feature four different shades: "Teenage Dream" (pink glitter ), "Not Like the Movies" (silver), "Last Friday Night" (shimmering bright blue) and "The One That Got Away" (dark purple). I am sure we will see Perry flashing her digits, freshly painted with Katy Perry for OPI shades.

In addition to these girlish hues, the polish collection will also feature a top coat, dubbed "Black Shatter," which will create the illusion of a cracked/leopard print canvas applied atop of a dried undercoat. I am a fashionista and makeup maven myself, and my first reaction to "Black Shatter" was "Ooooooooh! I want it!"
