Katy Perry: I’m sick

Katy Perry's hectic lifestyle has "finally" caught up with her.

The singer recently announced the Prismatic World Tour for next year and has been busy promoting it alongside her latest album, Prism.

It seems the 29-year-old has realised she needs to slow down after falling ill.

"I...am...finally...sick. Gonna do my best but if I don't stop as much as usual pls don't take it personally kittens! Mommacat needs rest! (sic)," the star apologised to her fans on Twitter.

Katy appears to have been doing everything she can in order to ward off the winter chill.

However, even a healthy diet couldn't prevent her falling sick this time.

"There is nothing better than matzo ball soup from Katz' deli on a cold winters day! #foodtweet (sic)," she wrote on Twitter recently.

Shortly before announcing she would need a rest, Katy was apparently spotted on a dinner date with One Direction's Niall Horan.

The pretty brunette and the 20-year-old singer have been close since meeting on The X Factor UK in 2010 and they reportedly dined at Soho House in New York City together yesterday.

While her friendship with the blond heartthrob seems to be flourishing, Katy hinted she doesn't feel the same way about everyone in her life.

"Have you ever met someone who is completely fantastic in person but utterly obnoxious on social media? #whythedisconnect? (sic)," she asked her Twitter followers.

Katy's tour will start in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on May 7 next year.
