Katy Perry made a very literal interpretation of her new single "Firework" in a performance for Britain's "X Factor" last night (Oct. 16). Afterwards, she joked on camera that she'd be interested in a judge position on the show.

The "Teenage Dream" singer, who served as a guest judge on "X Factor," showed her spirit by holding a sparkler while singing (don't repeat at home, kids) and sporting a firework-printed leotard. Meow indeed.
We believe Katy when she said that performing is "still nerve-wracking," even compared to judging. Somehow we think the show's contestants would agree.
Perry then goes on to say that she's "just waiting for the call from Simon," referring to "X Factor" executive producer Simon Cowell. Perry seems more iike a Paula than a Simon, so we'll believe it when we see it.
