Perry, 26, said to UK newspaper Daily Star: 'I am overly, compulsively and obsessively in charge of everything. I can't help it, it's just how I am.'
Perry recently launched her new perfume, Purr, in Selfridges department store in London.
Speaking about the new fragrance, she said: 'Russell loves the scent but he can't wait for everyone to start making rude jokes about it. I'm obsessed with cats and I'm on a single woman mission to try to make that cat lady personality cool.
'I'm sexy like a cat and you have to earn my affection, because when I give it to you it's going to be good.'
