Katy Perry is planning to take a break from work to spend time with her husband Russell Brand.
The American singer recently celebrated her one-year anniversary with the British comic and has publically spoken about starting a family.
Katy is currently on the road with her California Dreams world tour, which will finish next week. The 27-year-old has reportedly decided to wind down her work commitments for a while so she can focus on her marriage.
"Katy Perry is taking time off to work on her family," reports New York Post. "She informed her managers that after that, she'll take a year off to spend time with husband Russell Brand and to start a family."
Katy will wrap up her successful tour with a free concert at Staples Center in Los Angles on November 23.
On Wednesday she performed at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Katy sparked speculation she may already be pregnant as her stomach appeared more rounded than usual. However, she told the crowd she was bloated from eating too much pizza during her stay in the city.
Earlier this month, the singer revealed she has been thinking about having children with Russell. She told TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres that her spouse will make a great father.
"Yeah, I would love to have children," she said. "I think that's one of the reasons you get married, especially to the person that you marry. You think, 'That person is going to be a good partner, a good parent.'
"If it doesn't hurt the first time… I'll keep popping them out."
There have also been reports Katy is eager to buy a "proper family home in California" and settle down.
