John Mayer apparently celebrated his 35th birthday "holding hands" with on-off girlfriend Katy Perry yesterday.
The singers were spotted enjoying an intimate late lunch at restaurant ABC Kitchen in New York City.
An onlooker at the popular eatery said the couple looked smitten.
"It was hard to recognise them because Katy had a hat on that was covering her face," the source told New York Post. "But she and John were alone, they were holding hands throughout the meal and they definitely looked like a full-on couple."
John and the Teenage Dream singer have had a tumultuous past, partly down to John's reputation as a ladies' man.
Despite reports Katy had ended their romance, the pair were spotted "kissing and partying" at Hotel Chantelle on the Lower East Side on Saturday.
They then apparently headed to intimate bar Cabin Down Below, where "they were getting cosy in a small private room in the back," according to a witness.
On Sunday the lovebirds were seen smiling as they enjoyed a dinner date at Pearl Restaurant.
Katy's romance with John is the latest since her high-profile split from British comic Russell Brand.
Prior to dating infamous lothario John, Katy had been linked to Florence + the Machine guitarist Rob Ackroyd.
