Katy Perry appears to be reigniting old feuds with her fellow pop stars.
Riding high on the overwhelming success of her Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday, the star has opened up to US Elle magazine about achieving her dreams.
But she held no punches as she dissed her competition in the process.
"It is a hundred times harder a dream than the dream that I dreamt when I was nine. You think you signed up for one thing, but you automatically sign up for a hundred others. And that is why you see people shaving their f**king heads," she said, taking a dig at Britney Spears' infamous 2007 meltdown.
And she didn't stop there. Katy then stirred the pot as she brought former bestie-turned-arch-rival Taylor Swift into the equation, seemingly insinuating that "America's sweetheart" is undeserving of that title.
"You've got to name someone the villain, someone the princess… you know there always have to be characters. As pop figures, we're all characters. And the media uses that," she began. "Who is the sweetheart, who is the villain? You know. Taylor's the sweetheart. Kanye [West]'s the villain. That's the narrative."
Katy, 30, and Taylor famously fell out after the 25-year-old accused her one-time pal of stealing her backup dancers right in the middle of preparing for her Red Tour last summer.
The performers in question since explained that they were Katy's dancers first and joined Swift's camp between tours, only to return to Perry's Prismatic Tour which unfortunately coincided with Swift's.
Swift, who went on to pen the song Bad Blood, which features on her latest album, 1989, explained of the situation without naming names, "It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me."
While there appears to still be no love lost between the pair, one person Katy does admire is British singer Adele. The two bonded over a burrito at one of Katy's shows and have remained friendly ever since.
"Adele is so real and couldn't care less about the trappings of fame. She came to a show at the Hammersmith Apollo in England and stole my after-show burrito. She's like, 'How the f**k did you get a burrito in England?'" the US star laughed.
