Katy Perry 'sickened by Brand romance'

Katy Perry reportedly felt "sick to the stomach" after seeing photos of Russell Brand kissing his stylist.

Images of the singer's ex-husband canoodling with Nicola Schuller in Hollywood surfaced last week. Insiders claim that Russell's close friendship with Nicola was a source of concern for Katy while they were together. In fact, sources allege that the popstar even referred to the stylist-and-make-up artist as the "third person" in her marriage.

"Katy said she felt 'sick to the stomach' when she saw pictures of Russell and Nicola kissing," a source told British magazine Grazia. "She always felt there was a connection between them, and while she had no proof that anything happened, she'd regularly question his feelings for her."

Katy was said to be unhappy at the amount of time Russell spent with Nicola during their marriage. The 28-year-old popstar was wed to the British comedian for 14 months before they split at the end of 2011.

"While in London when they were married, Russ would take time out to see Nicola; it's really hurt Katy to see them together now," the source added.

During a recent revealing interview with Vogue, Katy addressed her split from Russell. She claimed she couldn't discuss the factors behind why the marriage failed.

"I felt a lot of responsibility for it ending, but then I found out the real truth, which I can't necessarily disclose, because I keep it locked in my safe for a rainy day," she explained. "I let go and I was like: 'This isn't because of me; this is beyond me.' So I have moved on from that."
