Katy Perry sky-high with love for fianc Russell Brand

The Teenage Dream singer told US Cosmopolitan: 'He's very romantic. We both are. From the beginning, I was telepathically telling him to marry me.

'From our first dinner date, I just knew he was someone who was going to be doing great things, and I wanted to stand by his side while it happened.'

The 25-year-old also revealed how she first told her 35-year-old husband-to-be that she was in love with him.

She said: 'I did it with skywriting. He hadn't told me he loved me yet, but I was gonna take a chance because I could feel it. So I went online and rented a plane.

'And, thank God, he told me he loved me that morning. I didn't really even say it back because I wanted to save it. We walked out to the balcony of his house and I said, 'Look up'.'

The loved-up singer also revealed that her romance with Brand has inspired some of the lyrics on her new album.

In one song she sings: 'You think I'm pretty without any make-up on.'

Asked if she was referring to the Get Him To The Greek star, she said: 'Yeah, that lyric stems from our relationship.

'He tells me I'm the most beautiful girl in the world every day. He constantly reminds me. He never lets me forget it.'
