The new trailer shows the pretty Smurfette struggling with her skirt that blows up over a grill, evoking Marilyn Monroe's iconic scene in The Seven-Year Itch. Katy, 25, may be acting the Smurf but she wasn't a childhood fan of the 80s TV show.
'I've never seen an episode because my parents wouldn't let me,' Perry said on the red carpet for the 2010 MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles.
'My mum thought that Smurfette was a little bit slutty, being the only female in the village. And now I showed her. I called her up and was like, 'Guess what, mum: I'm Smurfette!''
The movie also stars Hank Azaria and Jonathan Winters
