Katy Perry's rumoured new man is a "love-them-and-leave-them" kind of guy.
The Firework singer has been linked to rapper Riff Raff in the wake of her split from John Mayer, with the pair posing for photos together on their separate Instagram accounts.
But now Riff Raff, real name Horst Simco's, father Ronald has warned 29-year-old Katy not to take things too seriously.
"I knew he'd make it big. I'm not surprised he's dating the biggest pop star on the planet. I'm very close to my son and he's always been a hit with the ladies, always had a mind-set that he was going to be famous," Ronald revealed to British magazine Grazia.
"If you have a goal, you can't be sidetracked by relationships. Yes date women, but you're not going to get married. He's been a love-them-and-leave-them sort of guy because his career is his most important thing. You can't be blinded by other things that aren't on your journey."
Although Katy has recently experienced heartache thanks to her split from John, there's no evidence that she'll want a serious relationship yet.
Prior to her union with singer John, Katy was married to British bad boy Russell Brand. Their marriage came to an end when Russell filed for divorce 14 months after tying the knot in an Indian ceremony.
Katy's recent love woes haven't fazed Riff Raff though, and he's spoken about how keen he is to see Katy again revealing the pair enjoyed a traditional date together.
"It was fun. We went and had some sushi, we went bowling then had a few drinks. Who knows where things might go. Just got to see where things lead," he recently said.
