Katy Perry wears her grandmother's clothes.
The 'I Kissed A Girl' singer has no qualms about wearing items from her elderly relative's wardrobe, insisting she will don anything if she thinks it suits her. She said: "It doesn't matter who makes it, where it comes from, whether it's your grandmother's closet or it's a couture showroom. If it looks good on you, wear it!"
The 24-year-old singer also revealed she takes fashion tips from Freddie Mercury, adding the late Queen frontman - who was famed for his lavish stage costumes - inspires her to take risks with her clothes.
She said: "Style wise, I really look up to Freddie Mercury. He's probably the person who inspires me the most." Katy has previously admitted Freddie - who died aged 45 in November 1991 after losing his battle with AIDS - is the reason she decided to pursue a career in music, because she loved his outgoing attitude.
She said: "Freddie Mercury was - and remains - my biggest influence. "The combination of his sarcastic approach to writing lyrics and his 'I don't give a f**k' attitude really inspired my music."
