The Frasier star filed legal papers at a Los Angeles court that protect their pensions and business accounts from any unauthorised withdrawals by Camille Donatacci.
The documents cleverly name pension plans and business accounts as claimants in their divorce, meaning neither party can arrange any payouts without proper notice or until a judgment is made.
The claimants listed by Grammer include an Equity League trust fund, the Screen Actors Guild, AFTRA Health and Retirement Funds, a Producers Pension Plan, the Directors Guild of America and Gramnet Inc – the production company he owns with Donatacci.
The papers state Grammer is seeking an order “restraining claimant [Donatacci] from making benefit payments to employee spouse pending the determination”.
Grammer and Donatacci, who have two children together, wed in August 1997 but split earlier this year after almost 13 years of marriage.
Donatacci filed for divorce in July, furious her husband did not speak to their kids on Fathers Day.
