Kelsey Grammer talks about `big year` of `changes` as Kayte Walsh looks on

Grammer took Kayte along with him to US TV's Live With Regis and Kelly and repeatedly pointed her out, with her happily waving from the sides.

The Fraser star, who revealed that they plan a road trip across America for their honeymoon, then talked about his 'big year' - and tried to justify leaving wife Camille and marrying his new lover so soon.

'It's been a big year for me in so many ways - lots of changes - but I'm doing great,' he said softly.

He said that it was a fan who saw him in his Broadway play La Cage Aux Folles that clicked the spark that saw him leave his wife and take up with a new love.

'I started doing this show in February and it just seemed to come along at a time that I thought I wanted a change in my life,' he explained to Kelly Ripa and guest host Eric Ferguson.

'Someone came along and saw the show several months into it and said to me, 'This show made me want more love in my life'.

'And I suddenly realized that she expressed exactly how I felt.

'I'm not making any suggestion about my past or anything else... but what's happened since I started in this La Cage thing is this year's journey has been about enhancing love in my life, and Kayte is responsible for a great deal of that.'
