The 55-year-old actor has been dating air stewardess Kayte, 29, since August last year, with the pair announcing their engagement last month.
The star hasn’t yet finalised his divorce from former love Camille, 42, although it seems he’s eager to wed as soon as possible.
"Kayte’s my new girl, and we’re planning to get married soon," he gushed during an interview for yesterday’s edition of US programme The Late Show with David Letterman. "Sometime in February."
Kelsey and Camille revealed they would be divorcing back in July last year, and so far things have not been going smoothly. Despite Kelsey’s obvious desire to remarry soon, it would appear Camille has other ideas. It was reported yesterday that Camille had filed documents in Los Angeles Superior Court asking for Kelsey's request for an early termination of their marital status to be rejected.
According to website TMZ Camille says in her declaration that Kelsey is eager to get a quick divorce now and calculate the property settlement later "solely for the reason that he intends to remarry as soon as possible".
"I don't believe this is a sufficient reason to prejudice my rights to the community estate," the star is reported to have said.
The documents listing the couple’s assets include “multiple real estate properties" and more than 25 vehicles. It has been claimed Camille hopes to receive $10 million to tide her over until a final decision is made on the separation of the couple’s estate, should the quick divorce request go through.
Despite the issues revolving around the divorce, it seems Camille is keen to get along with Kelsey’s new love. The television personality has a great deal of respect for Kayte, as she seems such a nice person.
"I saw Kelsey today and I met Kayte for the first time," Camille told PopEater.com.
"It was a little uncomfortable at first, but then I met her and I shook her hand and I looked into her eyes and I thought, 'She's OK, she's nice.'"
