Kevin Jonas is thrilled he's having a girl.
The musician grew up with just brothers, and there hasn't been a girl in his family for a long time.
According to Kevin, having a daughter with wife Danielle will be a refreshing change.
"I've been around boys a lot in my life, so it'll be nice to have a girl," he told America's OK! magazine. "She'll be actually the first Jonas girl, by blood, in a long time. We're really looking forward to it."
Kevin and Danielle are expecting their baby to arrive in February. Despite being first-time parents, the couple feel ready to welcome their new addition and will try to parent as a team.
"I'm more excited than anything - and ready. I'm ready for it to happen, ready for it to be here. We're crossing fingers that it's all good," Kevin insisted.
"I think it's a team effort. There will be late nights for me, and late nights for her, and early mornings for me - notice I didn't say early mornings for her."
Danielle admits that while she is nervous about giving birth, she's really looking forward to bonding with her daughter. Luckily her friends and family are being supportive and as helpful as they can.
"Yes, of course, what first-time mommy wouldn't be [nervous]?" the 26-year-old said. "But the excitement of her arrival outweighs the nerves. We're ready for her to be here already. Everyone knows I'm freaked, so they aren't telling me too much, but we're taking classes."
