Comedian Kevin Hart is already reaping the benefits that come with hosting the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, including hanging out with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian ... even if they don't really want you around.
Yes, in a brand-new VMA 2012 promo spot, Hart tries his best to strike up a friendship with 'Ye and KK, suggesting matching outfits and sneakers (nope).
While we're not sure what the newly minted trio will wear to the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, we know when you can tune in to find out: The big show airs Thursday, September 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, live from Staples Center in Los Angeles. West is, of course, well represented, picking up nominations both as a solo artist and as part of the Throne (he'll go head-to-head with himself in the race for Best Hip-Hop Video).
In addition to Hart's hosting duties, both Alicia Keys and One Direction have been announced as performers at the show, with more to be revealed in the coming weeks.
