Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have reportedly named their daughter after a point on the horizon.
The 32-year-old reality star and the 36-year-old rapper welcomed their first child together last Saturday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills.
Speculation has been rife the pair named the baby Kaidence Donda West, after Kanye's late mother Dr. Donda West.
TMZ is now reporting the rumours were false as a birth certificate from the hospital indicates the child is called North West.
The couple have not yet confirmed the baby's name.
Kanye has been fiercely protective of North since before she was born.
It has been claimed Kanye is vehemently opposed to having his daughter featured on any of the Kardashian family's reality programmes.
Apparently Kardashian matriarch-and-manager Kris Jenner was able to film a portion of the birth, but only under Kanye's strict direction.
"The camera crew did attempt to accompany Kim into the hospital," the source added. "When Kanye arrived, he told them to get lost, which they did. Kanye didn't want this precious moment to be documented for TV. Kim's momager, Kris, who was in the delivery room, filmed portions of it for family viewing only. Kanye told Kris when she could film."
The tot was born several weeks premature and weighed around 5lbs when she was delivered. North has been described as having dark hair and the same smile as her mother.
