Kim Kardashian welcomed video cameras at her first childbirth.
The reality star prematurely delivered her daughter with Kanye West at the weekend and apparently some of the process was filmed.
Her E! network filming crew accompanied her to the hospital in Los Angeles, California.
"Kim was extremely upset because she wasn't due for another month," an insider told Radar Online. "She was in pain and didn't know what was happening. The camera crew from Keeping Up With the Kardashians had been with her all week.
"Kim was taken to Cedars, and cameras followed her there."
However the people who usually document Kim's life on screen didn't make it to the delivery room.
Mother Kris Jenner took over camera duties, but reports claim the footage will only be used for the family's private viewing.
"The camera crew did attempt to accompany Kim into the hospital," the source added. "When Kanye arrived, he told them to get lost, which they did. Kanye didn't want this precious moment to be documented for TV."
The rapper even dictated to his girlfriend's relatives at which points they were allowed to capture intimate moments.
The new father told the Kardashian family matriarch when it was ideal to put Kim in front of the lens.
"Kim's momager, Kris, who was in the delivery room, filmed portions of it for family viewing only," the insider revealed. "Kanye told Kris when she could film."
Meanwhile Kim's model best friend Brittny Gastineau has shared her feelings towards the new addition to Kim's family.
"The baby is beyond beautiful. Everything we expected," she told People magazine. "I'm so happy for the couple. I'm so excited for my best friend to have this amazing gift and for us to continue this journey together."
Kim emailed her TV show producer Ryan Seacrest on his breakfast radio show to share her first thoughts on becoming a parent.
"Can't believe it. So crazy!" she told the media mogul on Tuesday.
According to Media Takeout the parents named the child Kaidence Donda West.
