Kim Kardashian gets engaged to Kris Humphries

The curvy reality TV star has got engaged to her basketball player boyfriend Kris Humphries, People magazine reports.

Kardashian's boyfriend of six months proposed to her by spelling out 'Will you marry me?' in rose petals in her bedroom.

Humphries who plays for the New Jersey Nets, then got down on one knee to pop the question with the 20.5 carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond ring.

'I didn't expect this at all,' Kardashian told People magazine.

'I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now.'

The couple celebrated the engagement with a party, thrown by Kim's mum, who is also called Kris.

The party featured two very odd guests - two mini-horses covered in glitter.

'Kris [Humphries] really didn't want a big celebration, but he had jokingly told my mom he'd be fine if there were mini-horses there,' said Kardashian. 'Later that night at the party, my mom brought out two mini-horses, covered in glitter, for us. It was hysterical.'
