The reality TV star was impressed by the contenders in Thursday night's show, during which they came up with dramatic, elegant outfits for stilt-walking models.
Kim, 30, raved about a billowing, feathered blood-red gown and an embellished emerald green blouse.
She wore her long, brunette locks scraped up into a high ponytail for the hit show's first outdoor fashion show and the subsequent judging ceremony.
Flashing a huge black-gemstone ring and diamond-hooped earrings Kim teamed her black platform shoes with a fitted black mini-dress for the occasion.
Kim joined regular panellists Michael Kors and Nina Garcia, as well as presenter Heidi Klum.
Judging, she told contestants, 'I loved this look, I love that colour and I love the detailing with the little black belt. It looked so elegant, not costumey at all. It looks amazing.'
Examining an eye-catching sheer blouse, she said, 'I love bling and detailing and the colour is so rich.'
Less impressed with a Victorian-style lower scoring garment, Kim told one contestant, 'It looks like it's from the Sound Of Music when they took off the drapes and made the clothes. It looks like curtains.'
