The 30-year-old, who is currently rumoured to be dating basketball star Kris Humphries, has vowed to remain a single lady this year.
She told Etonline.com: 'It's hard. It really is hard when you meet great people, so I just try, still trying to stick to it, but it's hard.'
Kim and big sister Kourtney, 31, recently filmed their new series Kourtney and Kim Take New York, which Kim promises is very different to their normal reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
The star added: 'We were just saying how open I was on this season because I've been very closed off when it comes to relationships.
'At least you might think that you see a lot of me, but you know, anytime I've been in a relationship, they usually don't live in the same city as me, so it's a little bit more difficult to show any part of my personal life, relationship life, on the show. You get bits and pieces, not enough.'
She also said that a task as mundane as going to the supermarket in New York was actually one of her highlights in the Big Apple.
Kim added: 'It was such a great feeling when we were in New York, I [would say to my friend Joyce], 'Let's go to the grocery store across the street!'
'Like, that's like fun for us because I always send my assistant to go do our grocery shopping, and I'm like, I just need to see what's out there, in the market, on the shelves myself.'
