With news circulating on the Internet that baby Kimye might be named North, mama-to-be Kim Kardashian has been on rumor-control. The reality TV star says that she and boyfriend Kanye West have some baby names in mind, but none are North.
"I don't know where that came from," Kim told E!, adding, "I actually think it's cute. I mean, I think our name will definitely be unique. But we haven't really picked a name yet." That denial mirrored comments she made to "Extra" about the unusual moniker.
As for whether Kimye are expecting a boy or a girl, Kardashian said she plans to keep that a secret too. "We haven't told anyone [the baby's gender] — just our family — but there's rumors out there," the E! star said. "I've seen it was on a [magazine] cover, like, one day it'll say [it's] a boy, then another one will say a girl; we just laugh."
Kim also laughed off the talk about her baby weight gain, including gossip reports taunting that she's now "like 500 pounds."
"I think it's really cute now that my belly has popped a little bit. I think it's really a sexy thing; it's cute," she said of her expanding figure. "It's just such an exciting thing for the guys to see our body go through all these different changes. [Kanye] loves it and embraces it and he's helped me feel sexy and embrace it."
Back in January MTV News spoke to the mama-to-be, weeks after Yeezy announced her pregnancy onstage in Atlantic City. And while Kim K has let the reality TV cameras into all aspects of her life, she revealed that the baby's birth will be "private."
