The pair recently got engaged and it's claimed they will both protect their assets by signing the agreement in case anything was to go wrong and they split.
A source close to the pair said to E! news: 'It's a standard prenup. They just want something that makes sense for both of them.'
It's claimed their lawyers are currently putting the agreement together and it has been 'very straightforward'.
Kardashian, 30, is said to be worth around $35million while Humphries is worth about $8million.
The source added: 'When it comes to money, Kim just thinks it's always smart to have a contract and she has always looked at things that way. It is the responsible thing to do.'
