Lady Gaga has said she is “honoured” to recognised for her style at a fashion awards ceremony in New York – and called her celebrations afterwards a “whirlwind”.
The singer was named a Fashion icon at the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York last night (June 6).
Before the ceremony, Lady Gaga suffered a wardrobe malfunction on the red cartpet when she accidently exposed her breasts.
And at the after party, the star, whose love of fashion has been well-documented, was photographed fancing wildly wearing studded knickers.
In a message on Twitter, Lady Gaga said: “A whirlwind NY night. I'm honoured to receive CFDA's Fashion Icon Award. Little Monsters, we did it!”
The singer's attendance was her first major public appearance since new album 'Born This Way' went to number one in 21 countries at the end of last month.
