Lady Gaga 'The Fame' has clocked up 100 weeks on the Billboard chart this week.
'The Fame' is one of the biggest selling albums of 2009 and 2010 yet it did not make it to number one in America. The album peaked at number 2.
The album has been in the American Top 30 now continuously since January 2009.
Fans will have to wait until 2011 for the follow-up, which has been titled 'Loud'. About the new record, Gaga says, "Every song is tailored to me, I wanted songs on there that were Rihanna songs that nobody else could do. I didn't want the generic pop record that Keisha or Lady Gaga or Katy Perry could just do you know?"
Lady Gaga did the socialite thing last week in New York. She performed three songs at the Plaza Hotel's Oak Room wearing a swimsuit made of hair.
