The stars are giving up social networking sites Twitter and Facebook starting on December 1 in a bid to raise money for a good cause.
The Digital Life Sacrifice is spearheaded by Keys and will raise money for her charity Keep a Child Alive and raise awareness for Worlds AIDs day.
The celebrities will head back online after they have raised $1million.
Keys told the Associated Press: 'This is such a direct and instantly emotional way and a little sarcastic, you know, of a way to get people to pay attention.'
Other stars taking part are Khloe and Kim Kardashian, Serena Williams, Ryan Seacrest, Elijah Wood, Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Janelle Monae and Alica's hubby Swizz Beatz.
