Lady Gaga and Pitbull Top U.K. Charts, Sister Act the Pierces Debuts Strong

Lady Gaga started a second week atop the U.K. album chart and Pitbull a third on the singles survey in new data published by the Official Charts Company Sunday.

Gaga's "Born This Way" (Interscope/Universal) rules the album chart with second-week sales of 67,000, ahead of Adele's current and previous sets "21" and "19" (XL Recordings), which stayed at Nos. 2 and 3 with respective sales of 49,000 and 26,000. Lady Gaga is still in the singles top 40 with three declining titles, "Judas" (down 9-15), the title track (17-19) and "The Edge of Glory" (18-23). Adele, meanwhile, moved back 21-20 with "Someone Like You" and fell 26-31 with "Rolling In The Deep," as one of the singles from her first album, "Make You Feel My Love," rebounded yet again, re-entering the singles top 75 at No. 34.

The U.K. album chart welcomed some new names at No. 4 as American sisters the Pierces made a bold entry with "You & I" (Polydor/Universal). It's their first British chart album, 11 years after they made their recording debut. Jessie J's "Who You Are" album (Lava/Universal Island) moved up 6-5 as the singles from it all enjoyed renewed sales, "Nobody's Perfect" climbing 14-11, "Price Tag" featuring B.o.B. 32-24 and "Do It Like A Dude" re-entering at No. 75. Seasick Steve posted a No. 6 debut for his new album "You Can't Teach An Old Dog New Tricks" (Play It Again Sam).

Aloe Blacc improved 14-8 with "Good Things" (Epic/Sony Music Entertainment) as the slow-burning single "I Need A Dollar" moved up 3-2 behind "Give Me Everything" (J/Sony Music Entertainment) by Pitbull featuring Nayer, Afrojack and Ne Yo. Rock veterans Status Quo extended their run of British chart albums to 38 years as "Quid Pro Quo" (Fourth Chord) entered at No. 10. That's Quo's best ranking for a new studio album since "Don't Stop| reached No. 2 in 1996.

Rihanna's "Loud" album (Def Jam/Universal) climbed 17-12 as the single "California King Bed" jumped 20-8 and there was a No. 13 debut for Black Stone Cherry's "Between The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" (Roadrunner). "Now That's What I Call Music! 78" (EMI Virgin/UMTV) began its eighth week atop the compilation chart.

Below the Pitbull and Aloe Blacc singles, Romanian singer Alexandra Stan's "Mr. Saxobeat" (3 Beat/All Around The World/Universal) rose again, 5-3, and "What A Feeling" (Ministry of Sound) by Alex Gaudino featuring Kelly Rowland debuted at No. 6. "I'm Into You" (Def Jam/Universal) by Jennifer Lopez featuring Lil Wayne jumped 13-10, "Bass Down Low" (Universal Island) by Dev featuring the Cataracs 16-12 and Nicole Scherzinger's "Right There" (Interscope/Universal) 15-14.
