Lady Gaga believes in having a soulmate

The Born This Way hitmaker, who recently split from boyfriend Luc Carl, believes relationships tend to happen at unexpected times, but she doesn't think romance is always the key to happiness.

She said: 'I would say don't go looking for love, let love find you. That's when it will happen. But you definitely don't need a man to be happy, and that's an important thing to remember.'

The 25-year-old also believes in the notion of a soulmate, but thinks you can have strong feelings for more than one person.

She added to More! magazine: 'I believe you can fall in love over and over again.

'I do believe in soul mates. And that's because I'm just a bit of an old romantic at heart, or a bad romantic.'

Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, also said she wouldn't change herself for anyone.

She added: 'A guy needs to love me for who I am. This is the real me, so whatever you're looking for, you're not going to find anything else.'
