Lady Gaga returned to gigging action in the UK last night (December 16) at London's O2 Arena – biting off the head off a Santa Claus doll in the process.
The singer, who made an impromptu appearance at support band Semi Precious Weapons' 250-capacity gig in the capital the previous night, played material from her forthcoming new album 'Born This Way', as well as her previous hits.
Earlier in the day she had addressed fans heading to the show on her Twitter page, Twitter.com/ladygaga. "London, I have never felt more grateful for little monsters, music, and creativity," she wrote. "I can't wait to blow the roof off the 02 Arena tonight."
She let loose her inner Scrooge during the show, decapitating a Santa doll and stamping on it with her shoe, stating: "I'm alone and miserable you fucking little toy."
The setlist for the show, during which Gaga made several costume changes, included 'Telephone', 'Poker Face' and 'Paparazzi', with 'Bad Romance' ending the set.
She plays the venue again tonight.
