MTV News reports that Lady Gaga will not allow her former business associates profit from her. How so? Easy! The pop diva has intervened and bought back several items that a former manager had put up for auction through Gotta Have It! Collectibles. We reported that the auction was happening and thankfully, the story's coda is a good one.
The items included several rare demo CDs dating from 2002, 2005, and 2006, back when Gaga was still being referred to as Stefani Germanotta. At least one of the discs contained early Gaga tunes that have never been heard by the public. The amount that Gaga's management forked over for the stuff has not been disclosed.
Do you think it's shady that her former manager would try and sell memorabilia, pre-fame? Did Gaga do the right thing in purchasing her items?
