Lady Gaga has been forced to cancel the remaining dates of her Born This Way tour due to injury.
The distraught singer revealed she has been suffering from a "show injury" for a while.
Live Nation Global Touring said Gaga was suffering from a "labral tear of the right hip," and would need time to heal.
"I didn't want to disappoint my amazing fans," Gaga tweeted.
"However after last night's performance I could not walk and still can't.
"It will hopefully heal as soon as possible, I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and I'm sorry."
The 26-year-old star underwent more tests on Wednesday morning to "review the severity of the issue."
It was then determined that she would need to undergo surgery and "strict down time to recover."
"I've been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now," Gaga admitted over Twitter.
"Over the past month it has worsened. I've been praying it would heal."
She added that a case of synovitis, a severe inflammation of joints, had led her to cancel the performances in Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton, Canada on doctor's orders.
Live Nation's statement added that fans can get refunds for the cancelled performances starting Thursday.
